Ben Maher
Ben was boosted into the limelight last year as the youngest member of an Olympic show jumping team for some years, making both his senior team and Olympic debut with Rolette.
In 1997 and 1998 Ben won team gold at the Pony European Championships, he went on to represent Britain at junior level in 2001 and at young rider level in 2003 and 2004, when he won team gold with Alfredo.
Ben continued to enjoy success with Alfredo and in 2005 became the youngest rider for 30 years to win the Hickstead Derby and only the second rider ever to win both the Speed Derby and the Hickstead Derby.
In January of 2006, Ben was awarded the 'Best Up And Coming Rider' award at the BSJA Awards ceremony in London, an award that is voted for by the country's top 100 Show Jumpers.
