Rod Fisher
Rod Fisher was initially Team Vet for the British Endurance Team from 1989 to 1991 and was appointed Team Vet to the British Para- Equestrian Dressage Team in 2002. He is a regular FEI Vet at three-day events. Rod graduated in 1975 from the University of Bristol Veterinary School and began work in general veterinary practice in Abergavenny, South Wales, before moving to equine practice in Queensland, Australia. He returned to Abergavenny in 1979 to develop the equine side of the practice, of which he is now a co-Director. Rod has competed in endurance race-riding and developed an interest in the particular problems, especially metabolic, that are largely unique to that discipline. He lectures on a range of subjects and has written several publications.
