Vicky Spalding is a Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapist and had to qualify as a 'human' physiotherapist before further training to work with animals. Equine physiotherapy involves assessing and treating musculo-skeletal and neurological conditions. This is done by observing the standing posture of the horse and symmetry as well as seeing the horse moving in straight lines, on the lunge and often ridden. Movement abnormalities are noted and following the assessment process, a treatment and rehabilitation plan is formulated.

Vicky works closely with the World Class squad throughout the year to help keep the horses 'on the road'.
