Equestrian Team GBR competes across a number of disciplines and has enjoyed great success on the World and European stage, winning many medals over the years. From 2000 to 2009 Team GBR has won:
- 108 medals across dressage, eventing and showjumping at Youth Level
- 78 medals in para-equestrian dressage
- 20 senior medals in the Olympic sports
- 10 senior medals in the non-Olympic sports
The Olympic Disciplines
The Olympic Games includes three equestrian disciplines; dressage, eventing and showjumping and the Paralympic Games features para-equestrian dressage. Team GBR is regarded as being one of the best in the world at both eventing and para-equestrian dressage, with the two sports winning 22 medals in Athens and Beijing between them. In 2009, eventing gained a European Champion and won the team title. Dressage won two medals and para-dressage a massive ten medals including six individual titles and the team title.
The Non-Olympic Disciplines
Team GBR competes outside the Olympic arena in four other internationally recognised disciplines: driving, endurance, reining and vaulting. These disciplines compete at both European and World Level. In 2009 reining won team bronze and vaulting gained a European Champion.
The Youth Teams
The three Olympic disciplines also compete in Pony, Junior and Young Rider competitions at European Championships each year where they enjoy a high level of success

Team GBR is underpinned by the Equestrian World Class Programme which is comprised of World Class Performance, World Class Development and the Equine Pathway.
